Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championship

We’ve been coming to Breckenridge in late January for years. One of the highlights of our visits (besides the snowboarding!) is the International Snow Sculpture Championship.¬†The creations they make are truly incredible. They start with a 12 foot square block of frozen snow and have 65 hours to carve them into works of art. When we got to town last week, the parking lot was full of big white 12 foot squares, then on Tuesday of this week they started carving. Today was the judging day and the sculptures will be on display¬†for the next week.
